There are so many ways to be strong
(Source: haylesbian)
I always scroll past quotes from people in bands or celebrities where they say stuff like “You know, just because I smile doesn’t mean I’m happy all the time. I think you’re allowed to be sad. Not everyone is perfect” etc etc, and I always think: isn’t it sad that it takes someone of elevated celebrity status to say that and for people to listen?
I don’t want this to sound like it’s lame that you listen to celebrities or find strength within there words, not at all, I myself always find Hayley Williams’ quotes to be very inspirational.
I meant it more as a comment on the way we’ve sort of structured society.
If your friend said to you “Hey, it’s okay to be sad” it wouldn’t have the same impact as say if someone really famous said it. It’s like we only crop up and pay attention to things when they come from someone who we deem to be “perfect”.
It’s just interesting, this whole celebrity persona that has been created. It gives those people a lot of power with words whilst it seems the words of the common men seem to be losing power.
Animals With Stuffed Animals Of Themselves
Here are some animals hanging out with stuffed animal versions of themselves, which is clearly a thing that animals should be doing a lot more often.
